Coaching today

Coaching is used widely today in business and industry, in the social domain, and in politics to release potential and open up new perspectives that make it possible to successfully handle situations that previously appeared hopeless or difficult.

Coaching is not a therapeutic approach; it is goal and solution oriented. It’s less about identifying causes and problems and more about establishing desired goals and methods of resolution, as well as fully developing and drawing upon one’s own potential.

The Coach uses qualified methods to support clients in developing new perspectives and alternative ways of handling problems, enabling them to find the solution on their own.

According to information from the International Coach Federation, clients report the following successes:

Increased self-knowledge 68%
More effective goal setting 62%
Improved work/life Balance 61%
Reduced stress 57%

If there are problems in your personal life the work-life balance is not properly aligned and you cannot achieve your full potential in your management position. Therefore, Business Coaching usually includes questions from the area of Personal Coaching, particularly from Body Coaching.

Change processes do not appear to progress successfully in every system. More and more, our experience shows that healthy development and growth are limited and allowed to take place only under enormous pressure or not at all, unless management is conscious, authentic, empathetic, capable, and willing to trust the people in the system, to give them room for personal development and allow them to assist in shaping the future. There are strong indications that a high level of personal development in managers and their capability to integrate the collective knowledge of everyone in the system represent key success factors.

For this reason, we give special attention and support to business leaders, such as in the preparation of a large group conference. Giving collective knowledge a chance is a smart move. And it takes courage to let go and trust the employees to deliver better solutions. Coating sessions are often useful in preparing managers for this challenge.

Individual Coaching Face – to – Face

Personal contact is important for the first coaching talks, to establish the necessary basis for trust. In the initial session that takes about 3 – 4 hours the decision is taken whether the Coach and the Coachee can work together and trust one another.

The remainder of the coaching is done mostly over the telephone, but regular

face-to-face meetings are also scheduled, as some exercises can only be completed through personal contact. These sessions can last up to 6 hours in rare cases.

Telephone Coaching

Time is valuable, and managers in particular must handle it very carefully. For this reason, telephone coaching has proven to be a beneficial alternative to face-to-face coaching.

You will be working in a solution-oriented way on defined goals and in the Coaching sessions you will identify your personal next steps and paths to achievement. To accomplish this, exercises and methods will be used that do not necessarily require face-to-face coaching. Regular telephone coaching provides support, creates new perspectives and empowers you to take the next planned step.

Body Coaching

Body Coaching is a special type of Personal Coaching. Developed by Friederike Scheu and Ralf Schließke (of the Synergia Institute), this method uses your bodily state, in particular your position of your spinal, the health of your vertebrae, and your skin to determine with considerable accuracy the subject areas that are important for your stress management or mental health. A twisted vertebra, for example, allows quite an accurate assessment of your mental or spiritual condition. Since 90% of all communication is non-verbal, your body language plays a decisive role in your communication.

A personalized Body Coaching means finding, in addition to a proper erect posture, finding an individual, persuasive body language and expressing it effectively.

Content:

Definition of an individual body posture profile
Movement and gait
Gestures and expressions
Body language in communications
Voice and breathing qualities

Goal:

Body awareness
Personal centering in 2 minutes
Increase of body intelligence
Freedom of movement, flexibility, and erect posture
Congruence of body language and subject content and emotions
